Funding & Finance for Your Renewable Energy Installation

Government schemes come and go, but making your home warmer and cheaper to run doesn't have to wait. Here's an honest guide to the support currently available and how we help you keep costs down.

ECO4 and Home Energy Scotland grants have now ended

The ECO4 scheme and Home Energy Scotland grant funding that many of our customers used in previous years are no longer available for new applications. We know that's disappointing if you were counting on them — but it doesn't mean a renewable heating system is out of reach.

Energy-efficiency schemes change frequently, and new support is announced regularly. When you book a survey with us, our team will always advise you on any funding your property qualifies for at the time — so you never miss out on support you're entitled to.

Support that is currently available

Zero VAT on energy-saving installations — installations of qualifying energy-saving materials, including air source heat pumps, solar panels and solar thermal systems, are currently zero-rated for VAT across the UK. That's a significant saving on the total cost of your installation, applied automatically to your quote.

Boiler Upgrade Scheme (England) — if your property is in England, you may be eligible for a government grant towards the cost of replacing a fossil-fuel boiler with an air source heat pump under the Boiler Upgrade Scheme. As an MCS accredited installer we can advise whether your property qualifies and handle the application as part of your installation.

Free, no-obligation home survey — our specialists will visit your property, assess your current heating system, and design a solution sized correctly for your home. A properly designed system costs less to install and less to run — and you'll get a clear, itemised quote with no hidden costs.

Why renewables still pay for themselves

An air source heat pump delivers around three units of heat for every unit of electricity it uses, and solar panels generate free electricity for decades with minimal maintenance. Combined with underfloor heating or correctly sized radiators, most of our customers see a significant reduction in their energy bills from day one — grant or no grant.

With over a decade of experience, MCS accreditation and a 5-star rating from the Energy Saving Trust, our team will give you straight answers about what your home needs, what it will cost, and what you'll save.
