What is the ECO4 Scheme?
ECO4 is the latest phase of the Energy Company Obligation, running from April 2022 to March 2026. This government scheme requires large energy suppliers to help UK households reduce their energy bills and carbon footprint through energy-efficient home improvements.
The scheme focuses on upgrading homes with poor energy efficiency ratings, particularly targeting those with EPC ratings of D-G, aiming to bring them up to at least a C rating.

If you don't receive benefits, you may still qualify through your Local Authority if you:
- Have a low household income
- Have high energy costs
- Are vulnerable to the effects of living in a cold home
- Live in the most deprived areas
- Are referred through the local authority

Eligible Properties:
- EPC rating of D, E, F, or G
- Owner-occupied or privately rented
- Social housing with EPC rating of E, F, or G
- Property hasnt previously received ECO4 measures
